Acumatica recently launched their latest release, Acumatica 2020 R2, with a slew of new features and functionality for users.
One of the 2020 R2 features that is most exciting to users and partners alike leverages Acumatica Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to automatically create Accounts Payable documents from vendor bills.

Beyond the AI and ML enabled AP Automation, we asked our NexVue consultants what they were excited about in Acumatica 2020 R2. Here’s what they said:
Doug Beckerman: Recently Viewed history is a nice addition for the users to quickly go back to the areas that they’ve been in the last hours or days.
The ability to access Recently Viewed records instantly is one of several usability enhancements in Acumatica 2020 R2. See more here:
The video highlights the unification of the notification workflows using the powerful business events engine. For current Acumatica users on a previous version, notifications will automatically be converted to Business Events during the upgrade to 2020 R2 so that you will have consistency going forward.
Another area of usability enhancement was the Generic Inquiry capabilities:
George Joseph: I’m excited about the Generic Inquiry where it finds the table and links for you.
Melanie Miu: Not only that, but it tells you which tables are related.

A key functional enhancement is the enablement of related companies to buy and sell from each other through cross-company sales.
Doug Beckerman: Cross-Company sales looks interesting.
Dan Schwartz: It should be noted that it’s not across tenants; it’s within a tenant.
See how cross-company sales works:
Steve Ratner: They’ve built eCommerce very strong and it’s getting stronger.
Acumatica 2020 R2 seeks to boost B2C commerce with a powerful Shopify integration and simplify the buyer experience with improved shipment tracking, refund processing and buyer notifications.
Alistair Krieg: The workflows look pretty cool, too!
